Mommy, I love you.

When I grow up
Will I be able to be like you?
Will I be able to listen?
Can I pretend to be you, mommy?
Can I bring my babies to school,
To show-off to my friends,
Can I curl my hair like you mommy,
And wear make up too?
Mommy, I know
To you time flew by,
But mommy, it went slow.
Mommy I remember the days I sat with you.
The times you sang us all to sleep.
Mommy, I want to thank you, daddy and God
For blessing me with my many siblings.
The kids I could play with,
But mommy I know you will be sad.
When it's time for us to fly,
Fly away from the nest like the baby birdies.
I know half your heart will tear in half
When Brother goes in a few years,
And each of us to fly soon after.
But mommy its okay,
I won't go far, and I'll stay by you forever.
Because, mommy, no matter how many times
We fight or I disobey
I know YOU will stay
My best friend forever
Mommy Can I tell you something?
Can I tell you a secret?
I love you.

Love your Daughter.
